Cylindrical Roller Bearings — NU, NJ, NUP, N Series
Cylindrical roller bearings carry very high radial loads at high speeds. The separable design (NU, NJ, NUP, N, NF) determines axial location capability. Available in single and double-row designs.
NU · NJ · NUP variants
Cylindrical roller bearings differ by the rib arrangement on the inner and outer rings, which determines how the bearing locates the shaft axially.

NU
Two ribs on outer ring, no ribs on inner — free axial displacement in both directions.

NJ
Two ribs on outer, one rib on inner — locates the shaft axially in one direction.

NUP
Two ribs on outer, one integral rib plus a loose flange on inner — axially locates in both directions.
