Roughing stands take the highest shock loads — 4-row cylindrical roller and double-row angular contact bearings carry radial and axial forces.
Work roll
Compact 4-row CRB with thrust tapered or angular contact bearings for axial location of the work roll chocks.
Backup roll
Large-bore 4-row CRB and brass-cage deep groove bearings support the backup rolls against rolling force.
