Corrosion-free housed bearing units for washdown and chemical duty — SSUCP stainless steel pillow blocks, SUCP thermoplastic housings with stainless inserts, solid PTFE (Teflon) blocks and PTFE protective end caps. All share the standard UCP2 housing envelope, so they drop straight into an existing NTN UCP cast-iron pillow block footprint. AISI 304 stainless steel pillow block
Fully stainless two-bolt pillow block: AISI 304 stainless housing with a matching stainless (AISI 440C / 304) insert bearing and stainless set screws. Washdown-safe for dairy, food processing, pharmaceutical, marine and chemical plant where a painted cast-iron UCP would corrode. Dimensionally interchangeable with the standard UCP2 envelope.

Two-bolt pillow block with a moulded thermoplastic (PP / PBT) housing and a stainless steel SUC insert bearing. Non-corroding, light and electrically non-conductive — the economical washdown option for food, bottling and packaging lines. Shares bolt centres and shaft heights with SSUCP and cast-iron UCP units.
solid polymer housing, stainless insert
Two-bolt housing machined from solid PTFE (Teflon) and fitted with a stainless insert bearing. Chemically inert, self-lubricating at the mounting face and completely rust-free, for aggressive chemical, brine, plating and CIP washdown duty where even stainless housings stain. Same bolt centres and shaft height as the equivalent SSUCP size.
closed protective covers for housed units
Snap-in closed PTFE end caps that seal the open side of a pillow block or flange unit, keeping wash water, product residue and dust out of the insert bearing. Sized by the insert bearing outside diameter, so one cap size fits every housing that takes the same insert. Depth varies with the maker — confirm before ordering.
Choosing a washdown unit
- Full stainless contact surfaces and high-pressure washdown → SSUCP.
- Cost-sensitive food or bottling line, light loads → SUCP thermoplastic housing.
- Aggressive chemicals, brine or plating mist → solid PTFE (Teflon) block.
- Protect an open housing side from product residue → PTFE end cap sized on the insert OD.

Dimensions follow the standard UCP2 envelope. Load ratings are the basic ratings of the equivalent insert bearing section and are indicative; stainless inserts are typically de-rated against chrome steel.
